Bath panels are what makes your bath whole. Panels cover the unsightly pipework, legs, and acrylic underside of your tub, making it look simply gorgeous. As well as this, panels protect the floor beneath the bath from splashes.

Many modern panels are acrylic, which is flexible and cheap. At Bathroom Takeaway, all of our baths are made from acrylic which means you can purchase a panel to match!

MDF bath panels are fully wrapped so no moisture gets between the wood, making them perfect for the bathroom and more sturdy/solid than acrylic panels.

Bath panel fitting is actually rather simple and takes very little time to do. It does, however, require care and attention in order to avoid any unwanted cracks or splitting. Once you have received your bath panel, check it immediately and get in touch with us if you have any concerns.

Step-By-Step Guide to Fit a Bath Panel

Whether you want to fit an acrylic bath panel or a wooden bath panel, find out how below.

What You’ll Need:

  • Saw
  • Tape Measure
  • Electric Drill
  • Screw Driver
  • Pencil
  • Wood screws
  • Wooden battens (cut to length)

Step 1

Mark in 2 places where the bottom of the panel will finish.

Step 2

Join these lines up alongside the entire outer rim of the bath.

Step 3

Cut battens to the length of the bath panels and fix along the marked line.

Step 4

Measure your bath to ensure your panel will fit correctly. If not, cut to size using markings and your saw.

Step 5

Take your time to trim the panel to size. Sand the edge for a smooth finish.

Step 6

Slot your bath panel in from the top first and slot beneath the fixed battens at the bottom.

Step 7

Secure the bath panels with screws and cover with screw caps if desired.

Once you’ve followed the above steps, your bath panel installation is complete. Some installers will suggest you also seal the edges of the panels with a silicone sealant, so be sure to check the instructions for your specific panels.

This is only intended to be a guide and does not constitute advice. All installation work should be undertaken by a professional.

Depending on the design of your bathroom, we offer sleek and contemporary styles to suit your preferences. With both side, end and front panels, you can create a unified design without breaking the bank. Explore our wide selection ofacrylic and wooden bath panels online.
