When To Replace Your Radiator

Replace Old Radiator

Radiators may seem to be broken but it is important to know that sometimes they just need repairing such as giving your heating system a power flush so, don’t go spending your money on a brand-new radiator without knowing what’s wrong with it because more often or not it will just need a quick fix. However, there will be times where it can’t be fixed and it will need to be replaced and we thought we could help you through this tedious process of replacing a radiator.

Why Replace A Radiator?

There are many different reasons as to why people replace radiators. It doesn’t just have to be because the old ones are broken or on their way out. They could be getting renewed because they don’t like the look of the old ones, this tends to happen when a house or when a certain room is being renovated to match the style of the new house. So, the reasoning of the radiator replacement can either be down to functionality, aesthetics or both.

Heat output

If you are changing your radiator because you think that your current radiators don’t give off enough heat output then you should ensure you know what you’re looking for when buying a new one. First of all, heat output is measured in BTU (British Thermal Units) and it’s important to calculate how much BTU you will need for a specific room.

This is the most accurate way of finding out whether a new radiator would suitably heat your room.
